View Full Version : Modem connection on N3250 mr.pinky 23-04-2006, 02:28 PM The phone will restart when is downloading from GPRS connection... As the 6630... Shock...:icon13: Rafe 23-04-2006, 03:18 PM This may not be the phone (especially given you've tried two different ones). It could be something you operator is doing to prevent large downloads (in theory I think)... Or it could be something to do with your computer. I've never had a problem with this, although the biggest file I downloaded over gprs was about 1.5 MB. mr.pinky 23-04-2006, 05:42 PM The phone disconnect from GPRS and auto reboot the system... I download with full band, and more than 1.5 mbytes, but i think it's not the operator or the computer because N6630 also do it. On N6630 was the cache busy, but on N3250 i don't know. MAYBE A BUG???:con? Mr.Pinky Rafe 23-04-2006, 06:59 PM Could be a bug. I'd have thought it likely its not the phone since you've changed that and still have the problem. Then again it could be the phone! Might be worth contacting Nokia on this one, or trying it on another computer / operator. I've done a fair bit of browsing using the phone as a modem and not had a problem. mr.pinky 25-04-2006, 01:33 PM I think it's the new release of symbian with new bugs. I use it as a bletooth modem, tonight i will test it with cable connection. I heard that Symbian 6.0 release 3 have a little bit of pocket pc sorce code. Is it possible?:o Mr.pinky Rafe 25-04-2006, 02:29 PM I doubt its a problem with the new version of Symbian since you had the issue with your old phone. I'd expect this big a problem to be more widely reported too. and no there's no PocketPC source code in Symbian 6 (or 7 or 8 or 9) or S60 1st 2nd or 3rd Editions! mr.pinky 25-04-2006, 02:53 PM I've got a bad information:icon13: I need to contact nokia careline for more info... In response to your inquiry, please be advised that the Nokia N70 supports the Symbian 8.1 operating system and Series 60 rel. 2.8 user interface. However, the Nokia 3250 supports the Symbian 9.1 operating system and Series 60 rel 3.0 user interface. Pertaining to the Bluetooth modem connectivity issue, it would be best to contact the Nokia Careline Italy Technical Support Professional from a landline with the mobile and computer ready.
