Sounds like you need the N70 ringtone patch!

I had already install that nokia patch , but still having the same problem
so wanted to know is there any thing u can suggest

I have also installed the nokia patch but can't set mp3 as ringtone:-( Only possible to change with midi-tones. If I set an mp3-tone I get the awful nokiatune. Please help quickly.....

Change your log duration from 30 days to 1 day.

Menu > Log > Options > Settings > Log duration

This will significantly reduce the number of times your phone defaults to the Nokia ringtone.

It's a well known bug of the N70.

The patch doesnt help alone. Get a firmware upgrade and then apply the patch. It helped me from this issue which bugged me for a long time.
To check the firmware version type *#0000#.

You should have V 5.0609.2.0.1

Can anyone test this. It has worked for me without fail for more than a month now. If it does work we can get this stickied since a lot of people are asking for this.
