hye all,
i need the help with the following few things, i have recently purchased a nokia 6600 and this babe is only two weeks old ..till now the phone has been working as a charm..!
the problem started only when i tried to sync it with ma pc using the usb bluetooth dongle along with the pc suite, read the following details to get the exact picture..
on ma pc,
1)os: winxp with sp2
2)installed nokia pc suite
3)microsoft inbuilt drivers for usb bluetooth dongle
4)COM port details: COM3 Incoming
COM4 Outgoing purplepatch(name of the phone) 'bluetooth serial port'
5)discovery on both phone and pc is set to 'visible to all'
with all the above configuration i have suitably been able to pair ma device to each other (intiating from both phone and pc) ..it works smooth ..both the devices recognise each other within seconds and the intial handshake takes place in a giffy.
but when i check the bluetooth ports from the mrouter connections properties ..the phone connects after some time and the router turns into a green symbol n then is replaced by the pc phone icon for sometime until it gets replaced by the green connected icon again ..then the minute i fire up the pc suite, it prompts with a dialog box asking to connect the phone with ma pc ..inspite of the phone being connected already..!
can any one tell me from where can i change the com port which the pc suite monitors ..?! or from where can i set new ports for exclusive use by pc-suite..!?or some other solution to fix this.
ps: also, i can send files as a message(which arrive in the inbox) using the windows bluetooth configuration ..hence conclude that both the dongle and phone are working..!
