I'm searching for a birthdate application for birthdate entry for the nokia 7650, the option was available for the old nokia phones, such as the 6210.
it doesn't seem to be available for the 7650 calender.
can any one help?

In Calender, go to Options > New Entry > Anniversary :o

One more question: I somewhere read that the calender of 7650 doesn't feature recurring events, is that right?

BTW, yeah, I'm one of those lost souls waiting for 3650. :-?

Not true, you can choose to repeat it daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, yearly (for birthday, 1st post), or not to repeat at all.

Options --> New entry --> Meeting (Press button)

at Repeat (press botton), select your choice.

even on my 3.12 i have:
Meeting, Memo and Anniversary

but i would recommend adding all birthdays to something like Outlook etc and then Sync'ing with your phone, that was you solve the recurring problem as outlook supports proper recurring events it creates a new entry in the calender as an recurring event expires that way when you synchronize you always get the new one added. personally i dont mind if its called an anniversary or reminder as long as it takes care of the bdays.

the reason i recommend outlook is that in the event that you change the phone a simple resync would mean your new phone has all the shit, i do this for contacts as well.

hope this helped,

There's nothing called "Birthday" as such. What's an anniversary ? It's an annual event. Once in a year. So that could be a birthday. So when you choose Anniversary, enter "Mike's Birthday" under "Occasion" and so on, date, etc. But I can't see recurring event under Anniversary or Memo. Only under meeting under Repeat. I have 3.16.

I think that because anniversary is annual event, that does _not_ need to
be made to repeat like annually because it already is annual... :P think :D

yup it is. when you set a reminder as an anniversary, it will automatically repeat every year. to make double check, you can go to the same date of the reminder you set on the following year and you will see your alam recurring. :D

the 7650 doesn't count years of the anniversay or birthday for you anymore, unlike the previous models (7110, 6110, etc.), you'll know right away how old is the birthday celebrant.
