Hello, I want to buy the new Nokia N80 in Europe, but I want to use it in Japan, so I want to know if I can read and write Japanese characteres and what I need to do to make it possible.

I don't think they're sold outside Japan, and service centers in Europe probably do not have access to Japanese language firmware versions (and you can't just add/install new language support on your own). So, I suppose you might have to wait for either Vodafone KK or DoCoMo to offer that model in Japan (might never happen).
