Hi all...
Just wondering if we can use Webviewer on a Dialup rather than on GPRS.
Sorry if i'm being too funny :-?
PS: GPRS costs a fortune here, hence the musing/wishful thinking

I'm assuming that you can since the N7650 is a modem. I use it to connect my Ipaq PDA.
You just have to set up your ISP settings.

That precicely is my reasoning also. But i did not come across an option to define an Dialup ISP as the access point.
Was i missing something here? Anyone tried this?
Thanks

i connect using my dialup account
just enter your isp's details (username, password, dialup number etc) and my data bearer's set to High Speed GSM and Data call type is Analogue.
hope this helps.

I have my data call type set to isdn v.120. So i guess you should just play around with the settings to check what gives you the best performance.

Yeah It works fine ,
I use it alot , you can get a free dial up account such as Claranet/Freeuk, create an access point in your phone with the ISPs dial up number
use following settings:
data bearer : GSM
prompt password :no
authenticatiom: normal
gateway IP addresss 0.0.0.0
data call type: ISDN v.110 (v.120 didnt work for me)
maximum data speed: 14400
dont forget to change data call or by default your connection will drop every 5 minutes.
You can also setup a mailbox in your message settings so you can collect mail and send email from your phone.
I take photos on my phone and email them to friends etc .. alot cheaper than GPRS.
