Updated: Thanks to some incredible generosity by the staff behind All About Symbian and some of our members, we are pleased to anounce that the Sendo Smartphones website is back online!
Original message below:
As some of you may have already noticed, the Sendo Smartphones (http://www.sendosmartphones.com) website has been taken off-line due to excessively high bandwidth usage.
The website is run solely by myself, with no funding from anywhere else (although All About Symbian have been great at helping me out with other things) - the current levels of bandwidth use (33GB last month, 20GB so far this month) are prohibitevly high and are charged to me on a GB by GB basis. These figures mean that the site has been costing around £1000 per month to run, and so I've been forced to shut the site until this figure can be reduced.
A plea for donations a few days ago had no effect - only one member donated (a large thanks to him), and people continued to download at the levels they had been (come on guys, you don't *need* to download the firmwares thousands of times per month), forcing me to take this regretable course of action.
If you want the website back (and believe me, I would love to put it back) and see the multitude of new features we had planned, then I NEED YOUR HELP. It won't cost you much to enable me to keep running the site, but without that help, the site will be no longer!
