i bought a new 256mb kingston dv rsmmc for my 6630 but when i put it in my memory card reader and try and put a file on ot it says its write protected but if i keep the mmc in the phone and connect via data cable transferring works :mad:

You need a better/newer card reader, perhaps?

I ahev the exact opposite problem.

i ahev a kingston 512mb dv rsmmc. My cardreader reads it fine & writes to it fine. But when its in my 6630 I cant write to it :( no installing sis nothing!

Are you sure it is DV RS-MMC? Can you format it in the phone?

One way to solve this problem is to Format the Memory card in the phone and name it something different to what you had before ie: MemCard, Mem, Memory.
Then you should be able to have complete access to it in a card reader and it won't be write protected.
