godric 09-11-2002, 04:46 PM i have only one:
anuvat 09-11-2002, 05:34 PM The program that I use to make Op logo is ACDSee V4.0.
This program has a function Acquire ---> Screen ----> at this point, you can set what ever pixel size you wanted (for Op logo set to 97 x 25). Then it will come out as a rectangular box. You place this box to the portion of the picture that you want to make op logo. That's all. You can also make background by this program as well.

ei, nice job!
i meant the operator logo, and definitly not the operator itself! dang i hate globe!!!
I read trough ever post-relating base on “Operator logo” on how to configure it manually illustrated below.
My network provider is T-Mobile UK and my location for (bmp) on my Nokia 7650 will be C:\system\Apps\Phone\Oplogo\ 234_30_0.bmp (which I created) then I power off my phone (I’m using the T-Mobile.jpg which is posted on this Form) .May any expert info me where, what I’m doing wrong.
“- download and install eFileManager from www.psiloc.com (trial version is ok)
- now go and create some folders in the phone under C:\system\Apps ... create the folder Phone, and under this one create the folder Oplogo
you should have this folder created:
C:\system\Apps\Phone\Oplogo
- now you can put inside this folder (with eFileManger) the pictures you want to use as "operator logos"
NOTE:
- size of these pics must be 97x25 pixel
- name of pictures must be the ICC ID of the operator, with this syntax:
XXX_YY_0.bmp (so, for example, for Vodafone Italy it will be 222_10_0.bmp and for TIM (Italy too) it will be 222_1_0.bmp”
Thanks for any help

im not sure about this one, heard somewhere that there are some operator logos which are stored in the sim and cant be overwritten, check that out, your operator may be one of those. i suggest u try using seleQ, this is the easiest way to set your oplogo, trial version is also ok - if still that doesnt work, then maybe your operator has set the default logo in the sim.
J2theIZZO 12-11-2002, 11:03 AM The way listed above does work, the Oplogo isn't stored on the sim.
Although SeleQ is loads easier.
zygote 12-11-2002, 11:21 AM The way listed above does work, the Oplogo isn't stored on the sim.
Not entirely untrue but the operator name can be stored on the SIM. I have a BT Genie SIM which has "BT Genie" stored on the SIM and in the 7650 it overwrites any oplogo :x
The real bummer is that I asked O2 to send me a new sim saying that my genie one was becoming tempramental and when the new SIM arrived it was an EXACT duplicate of my old one, i.e. "BT Genie" still burned into the rom :-? :( :x

This is due to the ICC ID being different, You would have to rename the Oplogo.
Do you mean the Folder "Oplogo" or my .bmp File i.e 234_30_0.bmp. ..... which one and to what? any more info please if you know the solution. Thanks...
I'm assuming the folder "Oplogo" i.e maybe to "LogoOp" instead .....
J2theIZZO 12-11-2002, 12:52 PM No I don't mean the actual folder, I mean the image. "234_15_0.bmp" or whatever.
I'm not sure what the ICC ID for Genie is, your best of ringing them and asking.
It will be 234_15 or simlar, you just add the 0 & bmp to the end.

Every things you did seems' okay. Let me ask you a question. How did you get 234_30_0.bmp file? If you copy from this forum, it's all in .jpg format. You have to use program to convert from .jpg to .bmp. You can not just rename it.
J2theIZZO Sorry to be a pain I know you trying to help but from previous forums on this site my ICC. ID operator is 234, 30 with is T-mobile UK. Therefore my bmp will be 234_30_0.bmp under the created directory above post.
I guess this tip does not work for me it could be SIM card related or Firmware version related which is 3.12 .18/06/02 (Yes I know I should upgrade to version 4.XX).
Any other solution trop line please. I was told system tool www.psiloc.com changes operator logo …
Anuvat yes got the T-mobile logo of this site (I’m a registered member but using another PC ) and i was aware that the logo was jpg . This is a simple step i used see below
I used the right click mouse bottom >>save as picture>>save as type>>selected Bitmap (*.bmp) >> File name :234_30_0.bmp >> to my desktop>> Transfer via Infrared>>>Used efileManger /Handy File >>Find 234_30_0.bmp >>>Transfer to C:\system\Apps\Phone\Oplogo\ . >> Switch off/on Nokia 7650.
The END
Overall the image viewer on my Nokia 7650 recognised 234_30_0.bmp (as an image) . Would it have made a difference to covert the T-moble.jpg using a PC image Editor in order for my operator to under stand 234_30_0.bmp as a Bitmap file..
anuvat what do you think ?
cwleo8888 12-11-2002, 02:18 PM all my operator logo, main is the armagedon the rest are during roaming in malaysia.
cwleo8888 12-11-2002, 02:20 PM don't know why can't attached in the last post, here it is
cwleo8888 12-11-2002, 02:29 PM last try
cwleo8888 12-11-2002, 02:30 PM ic, bmp can't, 2 more
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D
For reason I had more than one 234_30_0.bmp … I did a find search *.bmp in Handy file. one in my (1)mail directory (2) Image directory (3) opologo directory . I deleted (1) , (2) (select the files after search and select File>> properties to find the root directory where the image is located )
I removed two 234_30_0.bmp file from my Nokia and kept option (3). Then I reset my Phone.. A big smile was on my face because the coloured T-Mobil e logo appeared.
My assumption was that conflictions where taking place with three 234_30_0.bmp stored on my phone in different directories.
ANY ONE WITH AN OPERATOR LOGO PROBLEM LIKE I DID FOLLOW THE STEPS ABOVE. I HOPE THE ABOVE IS CLEAR.
zygote 12-11-2002, 03:59 PM This is due to the ICC ID being different, You would have to rename the Oplogo.
Nope, genie is 234-10, same as Cellnet/O2. SeleQ also installs images as 234_10_0.bmp
Anyway, I also have a SIM reader with a copy of CARDinal. When you scan a SIM, one of the fields is "Sim Provider" and for my standard o2(not migrated genie) and vodafone sims it says "not implemented" but with my o2(migrated Genie) sim, new and old, it says "BT Genie".
This is where the 7650 is getting the provider name from.
Zygote You situation sound complicated I’m on T-mobile UK and have usefully got he T-mobile colour logo to would on my Nokia 7650 234_30_0.Bmp following the instructions and remove all related 234_30_0.Bmp during transferring to the \oplogo directory.
Hope you ate able to solve your problem
saurabhbhatia 12-11-2002, 04:38 PM I have the same problem with Oplogos. Just cant get it to work
I am in india. With my provider as Hutch. I had a Samsung T100 before this and i remmber that when i would switch my phone on it would say Essar (earlier 'essar' ran the service and they were bought over buy another company 'Hutch') and then within a second show 'HUTCH'.
Now with the 7650 i have tried the stuff which every one recommended in the forum. Actually installed Seleq and set the oplogo with that. It puts the file there but then still when i restart the phone it shows 'HUTCH'.
However in my old Nokia's (8210 and 8250) i was able to replace the 'HUTCH' logo with my own logo?????
If i presume it is burnt on to the sim, how was that possible..???
}{e@vY D 12-11-2002, 05:01 PM does any one have cool midi ringtones to post. :D
I have logos to last me a month

Dunno, My 7110/6310i can accept custom oplogo's with the Genie SIM but I guess the 7650 just does it differently.
hi there,
anyone have Finnish operator logos (Sonera, Radiolinja, Telia, dna) ? I haven't found any of those.
thanks :)
ps. The corresponding ICC ID's would be cool to know :D too :D or can they be read somehow?
Palendrone 12-11-2002, 11:47 PM A few weeks ago I saw a Sonera one floating around !
Try in the how to change them manually thread that details doing it using Seleq ! Im sure it was in that post ...

maybe i got the wrong impression or explained it incorrectly, but the fact that i was trying to state is that there are some operators (this was mentioned is one thread way back - i can't remember which operator) that have set a default oplogo that you simply can't overwrite.
anyway thanks for making things clear for this guest, Jordan.
here's a new logo from me...

Tantuss 08-12-2002, 02:33 PM Damn.. I got the same problems..
No operator logo in my screen when i'm using my dutch Vodafoon (2 months old) sim-card..
Only when i'm using the sim-card of my sisters Vodafoon (2 years old) the operator logo visable.
So.. gone mail to vodafone that i wanne have a new sim-card..
JyriK 08-12-2002, 02:57 PM It is impossible to set the oplogo on some sim cards. :(
ghoonk 19-12-2002, 01:06 PM Hmmm. If the 7650 handles op logos based on the naming convention of the op logo, wouldn't be be possible to store 5 to 6 op logos in my system, and have my phone display them when I am in the respective zones?
Here's why: I live in Singapore, but I travel to Malaysia for golf frequently. I'm on StarHub in Singapore, but in Malaysia, I get switched between My Gigi, TMTouch, Maxis, etc.
By loading multiple operator logos, the 7650 would display a nice one based on my carrier at that time, right?
Or am I wrong?

although im not 100% sure about this, but it think what your saying is possible. the folder in C/system/app/phone/oplogo can store more that one image anytime. so i think if you are going to transfer to another place then you can just switch logos as well. that actually gave me an idea myself.
