Yes, you can install an MP3 player, but they will all only play in mono.

There are many programs that play MP3's; OggPlay, ReadM, UltraMP3, MP3Go, etc.

You install them like you install other apps or games:
- Send them over Bluetooth from your PC
- Use PC Suite and its Application Installer
- Use a PC based memory card reader and put the installation files on a memory card and then the [Application] Manager app on the phone
- Send them as an email attachment to an email account you have configured the phone to access
- Download them from a server using the phone's browser
