Yup, it's all a matter of balance, and at least media coverage of Symbian OS malware threats is getting a little more sensible. Still, this piece over at The Register (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/07/04/symbian_trojan_doomboot/) manages both to scare and then reassure at the end. As ever, it's an anti-virus vendor who's putting out the news release (hmmm....), although I suppose knowing how these things might theoretically spread keeps the rest of us on the straight and narrow...

Guessing ElReg are getting bored of being condesending to AV Scaremongers. Normally they tend to point out the lack of feasability in what the quotes say more blatently. Ah well. Business as usual though, no problems if you don't break the law and use your head.
