I apologize if I am repeating a topic or something that has already come up recently. I have sucessfulyl installed the Nokia PC suite and have created a sucessful Bluetooth connectionw ith my 6620. I have also sucessfully copied the mp3 I want as a ringtone to the digital sound folder located on my phones memory, however I still receive the error message that the file format is not supported when I choose it as my ringtone. Is there some type of MP3 conversion I need to do first in order to use this tone? Thank you very much!

You could convert it to .amr using the PC suite, but IMO .amr files have such awful quality it's not worth it. I havn't seen any cases of mp3's actually working as ringtones, which was a dissapointment to me since my last phone could do that.

Spoke to Nokia and Cingular, they told me the MP3 has to be converted to a .amr file using the Nokia PC Suite in order to use the MP3 as a ringtone. Tried it and it does work. the sound quality is degraded slightly, but its not very noticeable through the phones speaker. Pretty sweet!

you should look for what properties has the mp3 file ... could be the bitrate that doesn't work... and something else, usualy the mp3 that is set as a ringtone should be in memory of da phone, not on the MMC... i hope i was right... and something else
try NOKIA SENSOR :D it's nice and free
