News just in from Symbian, confirming our 'leak' from a week or so ago: "Symbian are pleased to present the 2005 Smartphone Show (http://www.thesmartphoneshow.com/default.asp?page=intro) taking place on 11 & 12 October 2005, Excel, London. In addition to Europe's largest dedicated smartphone exhibition and showfloor - that attracted over 2800 attendees in 2004 - the 2005 event will feature a senior-level strategic conference, showfloor seminars and developer training sessions." More to the point, we'll have our ever-popular AAS pub meet on the Monday night and will be at the Expo in force to meet you. Just put it all in your diary for now!

Let's make it a bigger pub than last year's - it was a great venue, but a little packed :(
It won;t be a ticketed meet, we'll do our best to ry and find a sponsor to cover any costs we run up - and I'm sure we'll front page the news the second it's feasible.

What meet? Are you talking about the Expo which is free to attend or some other informal site members meeting?

Ah cool, would be nice to meet up! I have been for the last 2 events but didn't know there was any sort of members meeting, won't miss this year.

I will be at the expo this year, I am hoping that I can also attend the pub meet but it means either staying in a hotel in London for the evening or traveling back to Newbury then back in the morning for the expo...
I take it people will be staying in hotels?

It wouldn't be a bad idea if everyone stayed at the same hotel and got hammered.
