Not quite Symbian, but kicking up a fuss is the Nokia 770 Linux Tablet. Nancy Gohring has posted a review on the demo units over on Mobile Pipeline (http://www.mobilepipeline.com/164302869) (summary, it;'s a bit slow), and Matt Croydon, who's been doing some public conversion work on Linux apps to Maemo, comes to the Tablet's Defence (http://www.postneo.com/2005/06/16/in-defense-of-the-770) (summary, it is early in the production cycle).

Either way, Linux is really starting to make its presence felt in the Mobile world, if not necessarily in the smartphone world (aside from the e28). With the introduction of the 770 amongst devices suchas the Archos AV Media Player, ipodlinux, Sharp Zaurus and Computex PDA, Palm had better get their act together and quick. Rumour has it that Palmix will also be appearing on the Treo smartphone range as well which could "motivate" interesting Symbian designs.
