View Full Version : What do u use RealOne for? cgo 06-11-2002, 12:29 PM Just wondering whst you guys use RealOne for? Online media streaming? or more like offline ? J2theIZZO 06-11-2002, 12:35 PM You can use it for both!, Playing RAM files stored on the phone or streaming via GPRS or DATA. sanjay2402 06-11-2002, 01:01 PM My phone does'nt recognize .ram files :( As for Streaming on GPRS here in Australia, a full size personal I-Max theater would be much cheaper  PS: Any tips to make the ram files work with my realplayer? MaleBuffy 06-11-2002, 01:11 PM Rename them to .rm files! That might work! sanjay2402 06-11-2002, 01:42 PM Hey Thanks Muffy. It worked. Me gonna watch a few clips before i uninstall realone again :D . Taking up too much space One more for FAQ :D wannyondeathrow 06-11-2002, 01:54 PM Can you please post where i can get small .ram files to play on my 7650 usin realplayer. also do the files work on oplayer too.thanks sanjay2402 06-11-2002, 01:56 PM Here you go Wanny http://www.realnetworks.com/mobile/nokia/content.html Enjoy ;) wannyondeathrow 06-11-2002, 02:29 PM Thanks.anyone know where i can get anymore of these files.Any simpsons clips. J2theIZZO 06-11-2002, 03:14 PM I find Oplayer better for content and it's a smaller file too. Not that RealOne is bad. Magic Marker 06-11-2002, 03:50 PM I see Simpsons seems to be a popular pick for mobile content... sadly I forgot to get & test encoding an episode last weekend, even though I said I'd look into it. :( Who knows, maybe I'll have some sparetime on Friday... ;) ** Magic ** i2umi 06-11-2002, 03:52 PM I see Simpsons seems to be a popular pick for mobile content... sadly I forgot to get & test encoding an episode last weekend, even though I said I'd look into it. :( Who knows, maybe I'll have some sparetime on Friday... ;) ** Magic ** Hehe! ;) J2theIZZO 06-11-2002, 03:53 PM Magic Marker's the man when it comes to Oplayer ;) I really liked some of your first playlists ;) IZZO Magic Marker 06-11-2002, 04:11 PM Thanks... It's been hectic lately so I've only been able to add 1 or 2 files now and then. I'll let you ppl know when I'm done my next big update. :) ** Magic ** sanjay2402 06-11-2002, 04:14 PM Ummm... ehm... Where can i get those Oplayer files? Magic Marker 06-11-2002, 05:01 PM Ummm... ehm... Where can i get those Oplayer files? You can get the Oplayer application from http://www.oplayo.com and you can create own video clips for mobile using the Oplayo Media Designer. There's a 30-day evaluation period for the Designer, Oplayer on the other hand is completely free. There's couple of video and playlist links within the Oplayer but you can use the "Open Location" feature of the player and check out this external playlist: http://koti.mbnet.fi/~syd/lists/index.mvp ** Magic ** sanjay2402 06-11-2002, 05:24 PM Thanks Magic :) I've had the Oplayo for some time now... but had'nt installed on my phone as i didnt find content (downloadable) and GPRS is to expensive where i live. I just downloaded the said software .. Media Designer but it requires win2000 or xp  And me on Me ( i mean Millenium) :( Thanks anyway PS: Anyother place i can find the clips? 06-11-2002, 10:43 PM I installed Real One Player and it takes up over a Mg!!! That's a rediculous size considering it's designed for a mobile. I reckon it's a ploy from Nokia, the 3650 has Real One Player pre-installed and they don't like the same software on the 7650. Don't forget that before they updated Real One Player it was 292k. Because of it's size now, maybe only a handful of people are going to be using it. MaleBuffy 06-11-2002, 10:59 PM The previous version of Real one used 1 mb of memory as well! J2theIZZO 06-11-2002, 11:10 PM The previous version of Real one used 1 mb of memory as well! He's right you know!, Are you maybe thinking of Oplayer? :robot: SuperIZZO seanmiguel 07-11-2002, 12:42 AM Ummm... ehm... Where can i get those Oplayer files?
