Ive been holding back for over 2 years for a good phone, one with a large screen as I am visually impaired....

I am very keen on the N90, but cannot work out the screen size 352 x 416... this sounds huge, indeed perhaps the largest screen on a mobile (bar a couple of others), yet looking at pictures, particularly ones with show it being held, the screen does not look very big.

In fact, some handset that boast a 340x220 seem larger... for example the P910 has a 320x208, and yet looks a larger screen.

The secondary screen is 128x128, so you would expect the main screen to be over three (3.25x) times longer, and, and 2.75x wider, yet this would seemingly make the scrren larger than the phone... looking at various pictures???

I would be very grateful if someone, who maybe has access to the phone, could measure the main screen size in mm...

Or is this correct, and it is just a wierd illusion - or are the pixels smaller??????

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated...

Cheers

Is there also any release date for the UK... a rep in the Nokia shop told me its likely to be end of year, yet everywhere I have read says Q2, which is nearly over!!

You are confusing physical size with resolution in pixels. The N90's screen is the same physical size as your standard S60 phone (i.e tiny), only the resolution is higher - 4 times more than the S60 resolution we're used to. So yes, the pixels are smaller.

Thanks.. thought as much... there should be some consistancy over this... you are not told the scrren size other than pixels, so you tend to ccompare based on this..

Thanks for clearing that up... though I was going mad!!!
