I suspect a similar case... I got mine directly from my network... everything looked brand new but when i checked the manager, there's a software installed called Mike2in1 and Saga of Stone which I think are games compatible with older series 60 phones. Does this mean Nokia might be recycling parts? Any opinion on this?

Nokia is not recycling phones but a retailer/carrier might. Of course, if you buy a phone as a new phone, you should expect to get one, too, if you pay full-price. Best take that up with whomever sold it and ask for a replacement or an additional discount/refund, at least.
