Hi, i really need some help. I just bought a brand new phone from 3 network in UK. Phone is made in Finland, brand new with version 4.03.118 which i think is the latest, however i'm having a serious problem!!

The picture quality is extremely distorted on the phone after the picture is taken, before the picture is taken its fine, once the picture is saved it gets distorted, the pictures were taken at the higest resolution 1280 and higest quality. I changed the settings and still nothing, i dont understand why as the phone was brand new and am not sure if its the phone or the camera software.

I currently own a Nokia 7610 and the picture quality of that on the phone is amazingly clear and the Nokia 6630 is supposed to have more megapixles as well as better quality. I'm wondering if the phone is faulty or if there can be something done about it.

One more thing when i transfer it to the computer it comes clear. The thing is it should be crisp on the phone as well cos if u take a picture and show someone they'll be like horrible quality...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please desribe in detail how it is distorted ? If you mean "tiny white spots" in the screeen right after you have taken the pictue, it is a feature (and I don't recall it was like that whe I had 7610, you are right there is a difference)
However, when I save the pictur to gallery and open it from there, white spots are gone, but the picture is still somewhat unclear. When I move the picture to PC, they are very OK. I think it is a feature of the display in phone...

But if your problem is worse, there might be problems in you device

No manta what you say is correct that is how it is displayed on my Nokia 6630. There are like white spots and also in the Gallery it doesn't seem to be as clear as the Nokia 7610 however on the computer it comes pretty alright.. I still haven't been able to use my phone though properly as it is locked to 3 and there seem to be **HUGE** problems unlocking this phone as Nokia have used a new mechanism.. :(

even i m facing the same problem...the picture quality is damn sucky somebody please help wht can i do to improve it!

maybe its because the screen of the 6630 can't display that kind of big quality picture coz you say that when youve transferred it on ur pc its quality is okay.

just want to know what's on the displayed screen when you press *#0000# to check your firmware coz mine displays NOKIA 6630 bellow the 5.03.03 15.08.05 RM-1 this is the latest version todate and what i noticed is that it have NOKIA 6630 below..
does yours displays the same way too? thanks! keep it up!:)
