I've just bought a 512 mmc for my nokia 6260, it's to replace the 32 MB card supplied with the phone.
I've transfered all the data from the 32MB card to the 512 MB card. Using a card reader I can read the new card with all the nokia stuff transfered to it, however when I insert it into the phone I either get a message telling me "no card is inserted" or the message says "card corrupted", yet it's okay in the card reader. Can anyone offer any help

im thinking the phone wont take a card that big??can anyone confirm it as i plan on getting a 1 GIG card.

You could try transferring the files from your pc to the mem card in the phone via IR or bluetooth and see how that goes... sounds like the card needs to be initiated.

Did you buy a std size MMC card?? does it fit in the phone?? as the supplied one looks smaller than a std mmc card.

Don't know what I did but MMC now working ok

i am using 512MB card right now and it works really fine.Try reformat your mmc again
