Try nokia support pages

Otherwise find your local Nokia Service Centre good luck

Freedom Keyboard... $99 US. It has 5 rows of keys instead of Nokia's SU-8W which only has 4. Freedom Input just released drivers for the 7710.

http://www.freedominput.com/Freedomkeyboard/index.htm (http://www.whitedice.com/cgi-bin/clink.pl?url=http://www.freedominput.com/Freedomkeyboard/index.htm) is their site URL.

No, not unless the keyboard has its own drivers for the phone, or is fully compatible with the drivers for some other keyboard. For both options, I suspect the answer is the same: No.

The Nokia SU-8W works, so in that sense it is a better option than one that doesn't. ;)

I've had random people claim to me that it works with the 7710, but none of them have been able to show me the actual drivers.

I just finished our review of the 7710 and stated in it that the 7710 doesn't work with Nokia's keyboard. I'd love for somebody to show me wrong, as would a lot of other people I imagine.

Best I can tell, the 7710 supports the DUN profile, and the OBEX file transfer and object profiles, but nothing else.

And while the .FI site seems to list the 7710, the English site doesn't list the 7710 as being supported.

In any event, I will get them to send me one of the keyboards and give it a shot. I called the Freedom folks earlier today and they are going to send one of their keyboards over, too.

Freedom keyboard is awesome compatible with nearly everything, even has a microsoft driver so you can use it with your PC.

The Nokia Wireless Keyboard application (http://europe.nokia.com/nokia/0,,76635,00.html) adds HID profile support. So it works with SU-8W and other HID-based keyboards.

That's true and I also like it ... but bear in mind that the Freedom kbd uses COM profile. The Nokia SU-8W works with WinXP/Mac and other devices with the native HID support directly - without any additional driver.
