I have an Expansys Sendo X on Orange UK. I have got into major trouble when the phone has missed a call or a text - but not shown that a call has been missed. It looks as if it is on the network but nothing comes through. When I restart the phone it then picks up the missing call or text. This has happened four times over a six week period.

Has anybody else experienced this? I am on the original software. Would flashing a new ROM help? If I can't cure it I may have to ditch the phone - whizzy bits are all very well but I do need a phone which actually takes calls!

Yes, DEFINITELY update the firmware, 1.98 is *much* better than the older ones on Orange UK.

Also, change the phone's network band mode from Auto to 900/1800 - that seems to help as well.

(The "issues" occasionally seen on Orange UK (like the ones you've mentioned) are known to Sendo, and they're working on producing some fixes - look out for them in the next firmware release)

Try and backup using a SD card or MMC because you never know what the outcome will be ...
