Copied from announcement post:

The AAS team is always looking for ways to make this website better for its users. We have several forthcoming plans and changes which I hope will meet with general approval. Indeed there's quite a long to do list.

Therefore it might also make it a good time to get some feedback on which direction you might like to see the site go on.

So I'd like to ask you for some feedback / suggestions etc.

What would you like to see on the site? What new features? What improvements?

Is there anything you dislike about the site? What should we do to change it?

Please respond to this post, or contact me by email (rafe@allaboutsymbian.com).

Ability to make some person's posts utterly, absolutely, completely invisible would be nice.

That is, you can prevent signatures in posts from showing, and it is completely invisible.

You can, now, add a poster to your own ignore list, but the actual posting headers are still visible and the posting content/body is hidden. I'd like the entire post (not even visible in lists of threads or lists of replies) to be ignored/invisible with that ignore list (or another, more powerful list/setting/option).

I want that there should be a separate “Rumor” Section and a FeedBack Section too. And a register user more then 500 post can make a thread in News and other Section.
At This time i would say "Perfection never comes and there is always remain scope for further improvements"
So All Member this is the Time to Speak......

i dont agree with having a rumour section.. it will be full of spam and with no useful information!

I disagree. Anyone who posts 500 rubbish posts can then post a rubbish item on the frontpage  Doesn't sound like a good idea too me

I was think the same while writting this.
But some responsible user may given the power to do that.

Thanks everyone. Great feedback, please keep it coming.

To address a few points raised so far:

Invisible posts by person - will look into this.
More colours - on the list :)
Smilies from quick reply - will look into this.
Rumours forum - yes seems like a good idea.
500 posts for news posting - I agree with Delta, but we're definitely looking for new newsposters. More on this soon.

hi,

i would like to see a "tested and rated" section with user feedback for those who aren't sure about buying the apps etc from this site..also, and perhaps, quite significantly, i would like to be able to buy apps from here via my mobile...using either payandgo or contract...i'd imagine that the revenue generated through doing this would significantly higher than just pc users being able to purchase applications etc. just some thoughts. thanks.

Only one suggestion for now - please don't have *everything* open up in a new window.

I know it's a default function of vBulletin, but it's very annoying sometimes :(

Stop PM's bouncing when the mail box is full...

Sometimes I get a flurry of PM's, and it goes over 100, so some people's PM's never get to me.

Either raise the limit, or queue them somehow, until there is space?

Jjo3 - rated and tested - a bit like our reviews section - and yes we're looking at expanding there and allow more user feedback. Buying apps via the mobile is something I'd like to do but is difficult to do. There is something happening here (possibly), just not the full works - watch this space.

stuclark - yes good point. I'll look at that when the fourm gets refrurbished. I guess some open widnows are good, but I do think it should mainly be a user choice.

plinkykev - I'll put that on the list, don't know if its possible. Increases PM box obvisouly is but has resource implications.

Thanks guys and please keep the feedback coming.

Please do something with interface/layout.
I'm running on Mandrake Linux with FireFox and fonts are hard to recognize - Increasing size of it destroys page layout!!
