This red/orange background was intended mostly for "missed call" "new message" pop-ups... to take some attention... but I will see how it will look like with more blue on it :) Thanks for critique!

And this dimmed background... You are refering to Grid Menu? or this pop-up menu?

I think a dimmed background with all screens (other than standby screen) will be sleek
