The announcement of the Nokia 6235 shows Nokia's commitment to cutting edge technology, with 65,536 color screen, VGA camera, and streaming video capability - most likely for forthcoming TV services for mobile phones - this looks very cool!

It's difficult to tell from the photos but it has crome elements and a slim elegant design. It won't appeal to all but with the promise of such amazing features will be a big seller.

No news on price or the release date yet, it could be a long way off especially as most networks aren't prepared for this technology yet.

One note: this phone is for CDMA networks only, so this is NO GSM phone. Basically a 6230 for Asia I guess

I guess it depends on your definition of Asia, but Korea and Japan are heavy CDMA users, I think China is too, and it's only really a few styling changes from a 6230.

At the end of the day it's still a rather limited series 40 device, 128x128 screen, vga camera, and nothing like as versatile as a series 60 phone or better.

Having said that, the 6230 is getting a lot of take up in Europe.

No CDMA in Japan (except for WCDMA, but that's not the same thing). South Korea is a CDMA country, though.
