View Full Version : Remote Camera develpoment
MaleBuffy 21-10-2002, 04:35 PM Althoug this is not entirely my progrct I plan to make some alteration adn develop it further! Remote Camera is an application that allows you to take pictures with you 7650 by sending an //RECA sms message to the phone!
Edited: There was a stupid mistake that did save the image in another folder! here is the fixed version! I am terribly sorry! :D
If for some reason the Remote Camera gives errors try to install the Camera Timer! It seems for now to get rid of another bug! I soon will integrate both apps into One so unitl the... :D
talk2sk 21-10-2002, 06:30 PM Yeah!! Great to see people getting involved in this.
What features do you plan to add male buffy ??
MaleBuffy 21-10-2002, 06:35 PM Multiple Images, at this point any image saved is stored as Remote.jpg I will do it remote1.jpg remote2.jpg etc. Then I will add customizable BIO message, where you can specify the Image quality, location, how many Images to store and the interval! So you are going to send a //RECA message with options like
//RECA location=c:\Nokia\Images\Remote\mynakedgf.jpg Im=10 interval=5secs
This will 10 capture images with the name mynakedgf1.jpg,mynakedgf2.jpg etc every 5 secs
This is all for now :D
talk2sk 21-10-2002, 06:39 PM I hope your example doesnt imply usage :-) :-? :o
Good. What exactly is a BIOmessage, how can it be sent, does it need something special ?
MaleBuffy 21-10-2002, 06:43 PM No it can be sent from any phone! There are some examples and pdfs on the forum nokia web site!
A bio message is a message that starts usually with //
In this example //RECA as in REmoteCAmera which triggers an aplication in this case the remotecam to take a picture!
AnlaShok 26-10-2002, 12:40 PM Can the trigger messages be sent via BlueTooth? I can see that as being somewhat more useful than triggering via SMS. Cheaper too :)
MaleBuffy 26-10-2002, 03:57 PM This version does not allow this! But Its a great idea and I will sure implement this in the newer version! :)
talk2sk 26-10-2002, 09:34 PM Hey Since Muffy ;-) is accepting request to order :-D
Can you then stream the picture back to the PC, :-D then we can write a bit of application to store these pictures on the PC (unlimited storage) .. and if the rate is good, maybe even a low fps video :-D..
Okay that last bit was too much .. but ??
J2theIZZO 26-10-2002, 09:54 PM Hey Since Muffy ;-) is accepting request to order :-D

It counts the Images taken in a session and saves accordingly Remote0.jpg,Remote2..etc there might some firmware differences...however as always...install at your own risk! :)
There are other versions but I am debuging and testing them at the moment and writing other apps so sorry for the delays!

My Aim is to make app which will allow me to leave my p800 at car or whenever and watch it remotely via internet... images will be transfered only when i connect to my web server to which p800 is logged and sending videostream on webserver request.
