Ive recently just bought a second hand 6600 and although the phone is great, i hvae a few questions about it :)

First one - the previous owner forgot the lock code for the phone, and until i get the phone reflashed, is there a piece of symbian software that locks the keypad without using the lock code - ie: like the old nokia's where you press the menu button and press the * key and it locked etc etc? :)

And last question - under sms messages, is there away of getting it to display the persons name rather than telephone number (again like the old nokias)?

The keypad locks with the left softkey and *.

You can also install a timer based automatic lock app such as JJLKeyLock:

In the Messaging app, the phone does display the name rather than the telephone number, if the telephone number exists only once in Contacts. If the number is there more than once, the phone doesn't know which name to use, so it just displays the number.
