Three UK are now selling the A1000. It seems like they have limited stock at the moment but hopefully all Three stores will soon sell the A1000.

It's got some misleading information on that page though. The phone supports WAP and GRPS but you can't use it to access the mobile internet while you are in a 3G area due to Three's 'walled garden' approach.

i'm on 3 with a a1000 and i would like to connect to irc and surf the net. how can i do that ? how can i avoid that walled garden u r speakig about ?

You cant. You can use your computers connection though while the phone is connected to your computer by bluetooth of the cradle. Search around to find out how to do it.
