Does anyone know of (or have) the software or scripts to run a personal image server like the one at club nokia so you can upload images from your phone to it using the Image Uploader?

I'm annoyed with what Nokia calls customer service .. 08-10-2002, 11:27 PM Check these two: http://haavi.iki.fi/roadcam/ http://haisee.com/~oh1jty/roadcam/ These both are based on same technology. Maybe Nokia should ask help from us (users) :-) oh1jty 08-10-2002, 11:30 PM Check these two: http://haavi.iki.fi/roadcam/ http://haisee.com/~oh1jty/roadcam/ These both are based on same technology. Maybe Nokia should ask help from us (users) :-) Mine is made with perl and the other one is made with bash (example on the same page). You just need an unix account with mailbox and web space. 10-10-2002, 08:34 AM Well I considered writing my own, but need more info. When you select the 'image uploader->upload' from the Images screen, what connection does the phone initiate? Does it form an HTTP POST request? Does it just start streaming the raw data to the server? Help! headshox 10-10-2002, 08:52 AM Whoops, above post was me :) Dazler 10-10-2002, 08:56 AM since oh1jty said you needed a mailbox, I guess by mail? a quick look at http://haavi.iki.fi/roadcam/ gives you the full explenation. Just a simple script does the trick. headshox 10-10-2002, 09:05 AM Do these examples actually use the Image Uploader option in the Images menu though? Or do they go through Send->Via Email option? oh1jty 10-10-2002, 08:58 PM It's using Send->email option. It's available in camera mode so it easier to access than Image uploader, which is really crappy. |
