Just bought a 6600 and like the phone, purchased a 128 mb MMC, everything is saved on the mmc, i've changed the name of the mmc twice and formatted it twice as well, of late, when i check the memory details on the mmc it just keeps scanning endlessly, it doesn't display the mmc contents. what could be the problem? I can see the total available memory but it deosn't display the contents.

Did it work in the phone before you formatted it? Has it ever worked in the phone?
Did you check the brand in the list in the post about compatible mmc's? (it is the sticky one near the top, you have to scroll past it to get to other posts)

Yes it did work when i just bought the phone, it also scanned the contents, but after formatting it twice it didn't dislplay the contents, it just keeps scanning, i can save everything fine on it, and view it as well, the problem is just with the scanning part, i also have the original MMC that came with the phone and that scans perfectly well.. no probs whatsoever with that

This happened to me once. If I tried to scan the memory card w/ the memory app it would just keep going and going. Same if I used the menu of the phone. In my case I think it was a bluetooth message I couldn't erase (tried fexplorer, which is worth trying) and then I popped the mem-card in a reader and found the offending file w/ my laptop. It's worth deleting all your unnecessary inbox stuff and doing a full backup right away. Otherwise I know the phone was fixed on a full format.
