I got a free headphone with my 6600 and plugged it in. A box comes up saying something like "enhancement not supported".

However when I start a game on the phone, the sound comes out of the headphone but unfortunately still comes out of the speaker. Is there some way of turning the speaker off when the headphone is connected ? Or is it because it is not supported ? Would the speaker automatically turn off with a supported headphone ?

In your settings menu, make sure that "Loopset" is not set as the enhancement in use and that it is on "headset" i know that when using something like ultraMP3 that if it is set to loopset you get sound from both the handset and headset so it might be something like that.

It says not suported because the head phone jack plug is the wrong type and as such does not switch off the external speaker.

Most of the free stuff you get with phones is a load of carp. :mad:

Thats what I assumed. Could someone recommend a half decent headphone for this - I just want it for when I'm playing games on it on the train.

Does it have to be Nokia brand ? These tend to be pretty pricey in the uk.
