I have this weird problem. I registered for a full GPRS connection and I managed to connect to the internet with my laptop using the phone as a modem. But I can't connect to anything that's TCP/IP with applications on my phone (like e-mail). I can resolve addresses with DNS, but can't connect to anything.

What the hell is the difference between apps on my phone and apps on my laptop? I think it should work. Got any ideas?

1. You need Internet access point and not WAP access. Allows you to surf the Internet. If you can surf with opera, you are most likely using the Internet via GPRS access already!

a. Go to settings>options>new access point and set the Internet settings

2. You need to set mailbox settings to enable you to access your emails. Go to messaging>options>settings>email>mailboxes>new mailbox. Things you need to know are outgoing/incoming mail server, among others

Once set up you are set to surf as well as get email on the move ;) BUT beware of the cost :o
