Hello out there,

is it only me (or maybe my ISP), but I got the impression that browsing the forum has become a bit slower during the last few weeks, especially in the evenings (after 9 p.m. Finnish time (now figure out what it is in your local time ;) )

Anybody experiencing the same?

I've noticed this 2, but what can you expect with stats like this:"Most users ever online was 73 on 06 Sep 2002 15:04"

That was in the afternoon! Right now it is really slow again and there are not so many people online...
Maybe it is as well the amount of articles (over 11000 articles)
Rafe or TankerX, if you read this, is there a way of archiving old post (let's say from last year or so)? Have some off-forum archive, but I guess then the whole search function wouldn't make sense anymore.

At the moment it's very fast actually ... so maybe it is your isp ;)

I'm not the only one to notice the chronic slowdown, perhaps the site is on webspace that is heavilly accessed in the evenings for other sites, whereby reducing our bandwith.

Welcome to the 56K world... heheheh... ;)

This site was faster on 56K than at times now :-?

I'll keep an eye on ir over the next few days, but there is only so much I can do to be honest short of moving hosts. I haven't noticed anything yet.

Okay, check if you notice something :)
I think in my case (as others noticed as well that the forum can be sometimes slow), the slowness come from the combination of my ISP, my computer and the amount of users in the forum!
Tonight it seems to be faster again! (Cleaned up my computer as well ;) )
