I realise, under either of my Profiles I personalized, I set to a particular .mid file I transfered into my phone.
However when someone calls me, it rings the default Nokia music instead of my .mid file. This is despite the setting I see is my .mid filename.
Why is this so?

You should put your ringtone into your phone mem instead of mmc

You have it in the wrong folder more like, put it in sounds/digital and it'll work just fine and dandy my friend.

Someone suffering the same problem that I did. It doesn't matter if the .wavs are in the phone memory or on the MMC but they must be in the Digital folder rather than the Tones one.
Rather confusing especially as when you are lookign to change the settings it allows you to choose tones from the Tones folder. Youw oudl have thought that it would only show you the ones that it could play.
Anyway, problem solved.

I got ti fixed by shifting the ringtones to the digital folder.
