Time taken to open SMS Application

Has anyone else noticed how long it takes to open a text message when it arrives???

The rest of the phone is a bit slow but acceptable...

Any fix for this?

yes...even though at ver 6; it takes about a sec or 2 ....

1-2secs is acceptable for a series 60 device...

Afters upgrading to v7 my sx1 is much faster and the standbytime is very improved even with my 128 mmc-card inserted. Full SCreen Caller ID works great now.

I agree that v7 is faster. But opening a Text SMS is slow compared to a "normal" phone without symbian. With all this power you would expect that opening a plain text message would be fast. Maybe they will improve Speed with the upcoming v9 We'll see...
