I have to say the current T-Mobile "Be the first with picture messaging" is a bit of a silly idea. I don't want to be the first. I want to be (at the very least) the second because then I'll have someone to send pictures to!

Hey, be the first with greentooth, the new comms standards. It's slick and smooth, but you can;t talk to anything yet.

Duh!

Probably so someone with their A300 can say: "look at me I'm on T-Mobile (a gash network) and I can send and recieve pictures on me phone!".
To which an enlightened friend responds: "No you can't, your phone doesn't support it and no-one with a phone that supports it is wasting money on it."

TBH the only way I'd get on T-mobile is if they offered free money every month.

One-2-One used to have much cheaper tariffs than everyone else, I assumed that this was to compensate for the bad coverage/service.

The prices arn't as good these days, don't know if the service has improved.

IMHO you can't beat the Orange Value Promise :)

Orange? Pahh.... I enquired about bringing my O2 9210 to an Orange pay monthly, but they won't insure it - even if I pay extra. So I asked if I could get a Pay as You Go Orange sim enabled for HSCSD but they can't do that either..

They don't want my money it seems :(

Does anywone know how I can insure my 9210 at a reasonable cost?

I get mine with smellnet (sorry O2) and it's £2.49 a month.

As for picture messaging... 40p a message? for that much I could e-mail a couple of better quality piccies to lots of people at once with my 9210.

Problem with O2 etc. is that you only get 14.4k dtat transfer at best. Orange are the only ones that offer 28.8k, unless you go for GPRS that is.

I'd have thought you'd have trouble getting any operator to insure a phone that they haven't sold to you, as it could be in any condition ready for you to make a claim on it.

Cellnet had no problem about insuring my 9210 even though I didn't get it through them.
