Can anyone confirm the following:

2 - can you specify to only download x KB of every email
3 - is the SD slot SDIO
4 - will most series 60 software work on this phone

Thanks

1) Use Active Mail (http://www.cibenix.com/AM7650_index.html) from Cibenix.

2) see 1)

3) The slot is SD only. Early test models did have SDIO, but as there is no standard from factor for SDIO, it couldn;t be accomodated in the case to Sendo's satisfaction.

4) YEs, it's 6.1, so pretty much all Series 60 software will run.

I think even the built in Email client will do what you need. Aswell as having the ability to handle up to 6 email accounts :)

I really hope points 1 & 2 are built in without the need for 3rd party apps.

The Series 60 (v0.9-v2.0, at least, which is what's out) built-in Messaging application doesn't do scheduled downloads or downloads by size, etc.

For that functionality additional apps like the one mentioned are needed.

But I thought Sendo added their own coding to the standard apps?

Not really. They've added a few features & apps, but they haven't done any major re-engineering of default Series 60 applications.

SD only supports memory cards, no add-ons

SDIO stands for SecureDigital-INPUT/OUTPUT and supports memory cards AND add-ons
For example, if the X would have a SDIO slot, it could support stuff like and SD WLAN-card, and an SD camera (I know there is one integrated, but it could be possible ;))
