Did you manage to try the MP3 Player through the built in speaker system? If so, was the sound good?

That's good to hear :)

I've heard the screen isn't as bright as the 6600's? What did you think of the screen? Was it clear enough?

Did you test the flash?

Ok.I managed to play with Sendo X today for about 3-4 hours.
My oppinion is that it's not what it should be.
Pros:
-Mp3 player (good quality because of stereo)
-Speaker also good quality (but same as 6600 only it's stereo :D)
And that's it :D
-Hot swapable mmc

Cons:
-Flash is a JOKE :D (just a led)
-Screen is MUCH better on 6600
-Phone is SLOW man (same or slower than 6600 sometimes)
-Symbian 6 :( (6600 has 7.0)
-Keypad is not as good, also joystick sucks
-Price (will be higher than 6600)

.If u want mp3 go for Sendo X.But i think 6600 is way better cause it's Nokia and has better dispaly
But i think both phones are same good. But Nokia is Nokia :D (my oppinion)
Ok that's it
Bye

What about camera quality, this is supposed to take better pictures, did you try it out?

For MP3, is there a playlist option?
Or do you play them back in the updated Real Player with MP3 support?

Shame about the screen - I must admit the screen on the 6600 is GREAT compaired to that of the 3650.

I hope it's not as dull as the T610 screen :(

sparxx where are you at?
Because i know the pricess are ment to be prety standard all over the EU but here the 6600 is 447 euros where as the n-gage is about 330. These prices do not reflect what they are in enlgand where the 6600 is about 550-600 euros and the n-gage cn be got connection free for 200 euros. So maybe more expensive than 6600 for you is competetive for me.:D

Also Sendo X takes sd aswell i think?

Sendo screen is crap in comparison to 6600 and well at least it has something it can call a flash.

Sendo x slower to i thought with the seperate graphics and sound chips it would be quicker but I guess i am wrong again.

Any bugs?

There is a playlist option

The flash might be just an LED, but at least they've made the effort, and it does work to a degree

The sound is waaaay better than the 6600, and it's stereo

The screen isn't THAT much worse than the 6600

Remember the user installable firmware upgrades, the speed could be fixed by an upgrade (I took my T610 in for a firmware upgrade and it's now 30% quicker in everything, including games)

Symbian OS 7.0 hasn't proved to do anything better than 6.1, other than themes, and the Sendo has them anyway. All OS 7.0 seems to have done is made a lot of programs incompatible with the 6600

i agree with what tomnufc had said.

i read from forum those who own a P900 now, online firmware upgrade much more convenient compare to send back to SC for upgrade, this is a big advantage. Hot-swapable is a must!!!

for those who have tried Sendo X, did anyone check whether it is prototype?

Thanks for the photos and videos mate, it looks like a very good phone, just cant wait to try it out for myself. I'll probably get it or the Nokia 6230. I like the Sendo's bigger screen but the 6230's smaller size appeals to me as well.

See! Nokia do it again, they make a phone with all the features you could possible want, but make it Series 40! I'm sick of it. The Series 60 phones are meant to be more advanced, and they release the 6600 with crappy sound, no MP3 Player, and no Radio. I just can't understand them

Oh and by the way, the Sendo is only a few mm's bigger than the 6230 ;)

Don''t the following pro's of the Sendo X become apparent when using it or even seeing / hearing it?

Up to 512 MB SD / MMC support, how far can the nokia 6600 go?
http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=552

Hot swappable memory, the nokia's battery first has to be taken out!

Sendo style: http://www.sendo.com/news/imagegalley/LS-SX-5-P.jpg !! MY KUNG FU IS BETTER!!! :D

STEREO sound...will nokia ever learn!?!
http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=552

you get a USB cable with the package (and even more?)
Connectivity: http://www.mobiledia.com/previews/sendo/x/index.html

graphics coprocessor, shouldn't it make better pictures / movies and make the games go faster?

FLASH camera!

being able to update the software yourself!
(i lost the link where i read that  )

I almost bought the 6600 a few days ago...now i don't know...

Exactly!

The stereo sound holds a lot in it for me, listening to MP3's in stereo on the college bus will be great. It'll be even better when people say, let me see your CD player ;)

I've read somewhere that somebody tried one of the new 1GB SD cards in the Sendo X and it worked fine :D

I've heard that the Sendo's screen is not as bright as the 6600's. If this is going to be true for the final released version that will be very disappointing, since the screen of the 6600 is amazing, but apart from that its not a very good phone in my opinion (6600 i mean).

I really would prefer the 6230, but will leave my options open for the Sendo.

If you read the user manual you can alter the brightness of the display, it may be that the default setting is lower to save battery life.

Lets hope you're right. The brightness for the Samsung E700 is by degfault at half way, i had a play around with one 2 days ago and even at half it was rather bright (indoors) at full it was very good, so lets hope the Sendo doesnt let us down, also i'm hoping that the camera will be half decent, as much as you can expect from a mobile camera but the E700's camera is very good as far as mobile cameras go. I've heard the Sharp GX20's is the best so far.

Grettings to all.. I fell in love with this phone because of the features which blow ur mind off.. The only Q is whether they have an additional add-on radio headset just like those S.E phones offer. & if they did come up with 1 is it possible to play it thru the wonderful loudspeaker system? Reg the screen.. Just like Siemens SX-1.. I think Sendo is also not as bright as 6600. But I did mention in the Siemens forums that it is the colours/saturation etc and not the brightness. Actually there was a comparison of the same display pic on both phones and SX-1 though not as bright has a decent and correctly displayed colours. The Nokia 6600 on the other hand has washed out and missing colours.. Nokia though bright doesn't give good quality pictures.. :) Hopefully with the final release the screen will be as good as SX-1.
