is there a way to get the thumbnails that are in the contacts and like, email them or send them via bt or irDA? i have attached lots of thumbnails and i would like to send them to my computer, how do i do this?

also, i stored some files on D:, and they have disappeared. is this a ram drive that clears when the phone is restarted?

jap, drive d is always cleared when you restart your phone..

the thumbnails are stored under
c:\nokia\Images_tn

by using fexplore you can get them out of there

I don't think the contacts thumbnails reside in that folder, but maybe you could try Vcard from symbianware. I don't use it myself, but I understand it should copy thumbnails over.

when i go to that folder there are the thumbnails for every image. they have the same name but *.tmp as ending. you can send them to your pc using fexplorer and then change the ending to *.jpg and there you go ;)

works fine with me, but the resolution is very bad, thumbnail-bad ;)

! a long time ago I assigned a few images to contacts (2 f/w updates ago) - the thumbnails still appear, but I can't find them on the phone!!

they are not in your image folder. they are somewhere in your contact database..

only the big ones you can attach remain in the images folder ;)

In the c:\nokia\Images_tn folder are thumbnails of Images, but they are not the Contact Thumbnails in question - these are stored directly in the contacts database, together with other contact information (embedded contact pictures).
