Me too, but they aren't really in stock - check again...3 days!

There was a mix up at the warehouse and they received totally the wrong phone - they seem to think the supplier is going to send them next week now!

Dont get your hopes up. This is almost certainly an error on their behalf, its far too early and much too cheap.

This page (http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=105822) now says expected in 3 days cost £221.78.

I did think that it's too early and too cheap, but you don't know if you don't try!

I know that I'm in the first batch and I ordered this morning, because for about 15 minutes my order was ready to ship and I was told delivery on Monday (clarified over the phone)...so whenever they are, I'm in the first lot - they have to contact me if the price is wrong and I can cancel before it ships so I can't lose!

I'd advise everyone to at least give it a go!

Expansys have done this before. I read somewhere (in these forums) of someone who has been waiting 3 months for a 3650 cover which is listed as in stock.

Given that the phone isn't released by Nokia yet, they aren't going to fulfill the order (I doubt they will ever fulfill it at £220-odd SIM free, especially as that is cheaper than the 3650)

guys,maybe it is rumors(about,that 6600 has began to sell)

I did ask them to confirm that their supplier's delivery did exist as it will be the first shipment of 6600s they've had, and they seemed to think it did exist...yet to be totally convinced, but it's as promising as it can get...

Also, their website went from expected 4 days...to in stock...to sold out...to 3 days in the space of half hour/an hour...it shows they are updating it, therefore you'd think they'd correct the price if it was wrong...I know it seems low, but it's still up there...

it's all about hoping one's going to appear in the post next week!

There's no way it's about to ship - Nokia don't work like that - they ensure sample versions have hit the journalists for reviews, they gear up advertising campaigns, and Expansys (being a dealer, not a distributor) are not going to be the first to announce stock.

If Expansys thought they were getting an initial stock of say 100, then it could easily go from In Stock (ie about to be in stock) to out of stock and then 3 days within hours.

I notice the Rose version is still listed as Pre-release order though.

There's at least one journo around here and my-symbian.com who would have seen and used the phone if any UK dealer was about to get stock, and he hasn't.

Whatever it is (mistake, marketing thing, error on the part of their supplier), the phone's aren't going to be delivered next week.

I emailed Ekpansy about this and they have confirmed it is an error. They are not expecting the 6600's for Quite a while.

I'm not worried - at least I have my order in NOW.
So at least when they DO get stocks my order will be near the top of the list.

I remember the exact same thing happened months before the N3650 was released. Expansys had it on their website as "available in 5 days". Few days later they caught the error and removed it from their website.

I have just got a confirmation email that they WILL be available next Wednesday.

The price IS correct.

Unfortunately for all you Doubting Tomas' all have been aloocated and they will have no more after this for 60 days.

Has anyone heard any more from expansys regarding their phones? I'm tempted to order one at this price, even if it takes a couple of months. What do people think of the legal implications of the order... can they suddenly decide that they really meant to offer these for £400+, and then not honour the original price? Amazon offered Ipaq's for about £50 or something a couple of months back, but I don't think they honoured the order price.

The information on the expansys website was printed in error. There will be no deliveries anytime soon, all orders should now read as "pending" or "pre-order".


The staff thoguht they had a box full of 6600's from an Asian supplier but openned it to find it was something else.

Rest assured those who have been promised stock will receive a phone call or email early next week.

How much is thet on Euros?

Can we order it from there to Portugal?

And will it get the Portuguese Menu?

In one hand i wanna change my 7650 for the 6600 because it is much more smaller and have better capacities, but in other hand i don't want because my 7650 has a value of +-200€ (50% of what i had given for it in August 2002) wich is too low, and the 600 a estimated price of more than 500 which is to high...

Willbrady, been away from my pc...My order still said 3 days when i checked yesterday, & in response to another post, yesterday they were still saying they do expect deliveries of the stocks this week...You never know, and it's only a couple of days now to find out if that's true...

I received an e-mail from them over the weekend saying they will have stocks of the import version on Wednesday....

I think omar_g's response pretty much confirms that there is no stock, and it was in fact a mistake by Expansys.

I'd love for you to be wrong, but you're not going to get a 6600 this week, fingers crossed or not.

Ok, now i know this story sounds convoluted BUT i know someone who knows someone that has one here in the uk! Apparently she works for a mobile phone shop (don't know which one) and they were given a couple...Don't know when they were given them...)I trust this source cos she's not a "mobile phone person" (ie she's not going to lie, shout or brag about having seen her friends phone!) and it just came up in conversation that her friend had one...What this does mean is that nokia is making these phones and they are in a usable state - so i've got renewed optimism in expansys coming thru on this!)Tomorrow i'll be glued to the deliveries page on the website!

I'd love to be proved wrong and if it did arrive i'd certainly be one of the first to buy it; i've placed my pre-order! Unfortunatly I think we're more likely to see talking donkeys riding unicycles and playing beach vollyball than the 6600 in stock at Expansys any time this month. :P

What's available is probably just prototypes for preview/operator network testing, etc., and not final products.

For final hardware, if you have the opportunity, look for the "CE" marking in the label with model number, serial number/IMEI, etc. If the "CE" is not there, it is not final.

Right and for those of us in Russia we also get an PCT marking in addition to the CE, if it's officially shipped to Russia.

I don't think anyone cares if it's a prototype, import or export, but I think people would like to confirm that it's actually a 6600, as many of us are skeptical that Expansys had any to ship them out.

However, if they are shipping, I'll be ordering one (especially at the price Expansys have them at :)

on a prototype model you won´t be able to do any SW-upgrades and there are normally a few specs of the production modells missing !!!!
