well every nokia or some phone loses some quality or the other (eg:-nokia 7650 - less memory and no audio bt; 6600 no radio and no stereo; 3650 hopless looks;), so at this point is there ne1 phone either nokia or non nokia that actually makin or gonna make it to the market in less than a yr. i mean we all need tons of apps. right now i am guessin that either the se p800 or the siemens sx1 is the popular object of desire right ? wht 1 do u think is the best that is already out or gonna be out in this yr (july 2004)under.....

Perfect phone?!?Funny!!Well,if you want a feature packed phone, get the SX1 or maybe the D700,if you are the type to buy the newest nokia get the 6600.Personally,i preffer more PDA'ish devices, that's why i'm going for the p800 and waiting for the communicator successor.

Perfect Phone? Well..N7650 is almost already one ( forget the blurred pic and low speaker). It only lacks a Radio, MMC, BT Audio.

Here is what, from my point of view, would be the perfect phone.

nice one deathmonger - any volunteers to make a pocket-sized device out of all that :D ?

I would also include a 12v portable fridge to keep the beer cold. No fun drinking warm beer in 40º heat.

ATM definitely the Sony Ericsson SO505i, the camera is really good at 1.3mp has excellent screen quality and just has fabulous looks.

This phone seems absolutely amazing.

I used to like Nokia phones only, but not anymore.

so at this point of time since we do know the specs of the 6600 and dont look at from the side that its a nokia. of the n6600 and se p800 which 1 is better in the sense (features, estimated cost and basic stuff here and there). i so love the touch screen feature , wish they had it onto 6600 as well. so opinions ne1 ?

this question has been asked and answered a million times. we will just end up where we started.
this thread is not about 6600vp800,sx1 etc....

but i do agree that for my perfect phone, touchscreen would be an attribute most wanted.

it's a pity there isn't a way to have a proper test-drive of mobile phone models. I mean, you wouldn't buy a car you'd only seen a plastic model of in a showroom! maybe we should be petitioning places like the carphonewarehouse (it's just the kind of gimmick they'd go for) to allow at least a 24-hour trial of different handsets to really get a feel for them. can we as a group change the way we buy mobile phones? :P

i agree with Jadeviper, we should be able to test drive before we buy or at least have a comprehensive demo of the handset.
Carphone Warehouse is doing demos now, but only of the "sellable" features like MMS, Bluetooth audio and gaming (Java).

That is indeed an interesting handset. I think I'd get a lot of amusement out of tilting it from side to side! :D
