One of my friends wants to study there but he doesn't know anything about cellphone renting or tariff there. Can anyone kindly tell me is there any short-term cellphone tariff (say, about six months)? Is there a short-term contract like that?

And any English websites of Operators or phone companies in Netherlands referred or recommended??

In Netherlands there's various paycard systems. You buy one beginner card which has your cellphone number and has some credits. yOu buy then followup cards with extra credits. Only thing required is a phone /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif You can get those cards everywhere so no registration is required.

Indeed. Only thing that could go wrong is that your phone doesn't support the networks. But that seems rather unlikely.

Did some searching and all providers in Holland provide those prepaid cards
