i have installed the doom 2 wad files. but i'm very stuck on level 2, i cant get near the red key because of a step, ive tryed now for about a week looking 4 doors switches etc, is there a jump key? please can someone help me out here!
SwitchBlade 18-08-2002, 02:26 PM Walk round the outside of the room where the key is, note there is an opening at the side the same height as the ledge running round the outside wall. Using this knowledge and your ablilty to run over moderate gaps you should now be able to get the keycard.
is it the action key to run?
SwitchBlade 18-08-2002, 08:22 PM you have to press the shift key to run.
KayonLord 19-08-2002, 08:05 AM Right just a quicky what prog is the most pop for playing doom?
SwitchBlade 19-08-2002, 08:19 AM I use WildPalm's doom launcher myself.
Tomahawk 19-08-2002, 12:00 PM Please could someone send the file to me as well?
Thanks! :D :D
KayonLord 19-08-2002, 12:23 PM Yip yip.

Dazler 24-08-2002, 06:01 PM Sorry was out for some time.
Here is the url. (http://users.pandora.be/Dazler_Warone/DOOM2.WAD) first sign of trouble, it's gone.
Have fun.
Btw thx Switchblade, got stuck there 2 ;) Used cheats to get trough.
Has any one finished doom 2 on the 9210? I’m stuck on level 9 the pit, just before you can get the yellow key your down in a pit, with a corridor with a switch at one end, the idea is to hit the switch run back down the corridor to a ledge which has being lowered by the switch on a timer, by the time you have reached the end of the hallway the ledge has gone back up! Is this impossible with the 9210’s controls? If so can anyone help.
netzmeista 23-11-2002, 03:18 AM Isn't that warez, technically? I know you can hardly find any copies of doom in stores, but are you sure that AAS can't get trouble because of this?
Nosferatu 23-11-2002, 08:32 AM ;) Hey Dazler, here we go again...

ID software put DOOM and Quake out to public domain somewhere around the time when Quake 2 came out as they felt the technology wasn't going to effect their sales of newer games, and would also help other coders get started. That said the water seems murky as you can still buy DOOM/DOOM2/Final DOOM in the shops.
JyriK 23-11-2002, 12:58 PM And that is just a .wad file. You must have to have a full Doom to play it.
netzmeista 23-11-2002, 02:32 PM Afaik they just made the source code and game engine open source (supposedly the main reason for all those ports for every imaginable platform), but the graphics, levels and all ingame media are still copyrighted I thought. I suppose that's the reason why Wildpalm only distributed a port of the shareware-version, and I think even that was risky.
Dazler 23-11-2002, 03:03 PM Actualy the doom2.wad is totaly illegal :)
But I already took it off my server (needed the space and I don't want to do something illegal :] ) ;)
The source of doom is free, but the wad files not. ;)
