Hi

I have a
Data cable, Model No. DSC53
http://www.gsm-software.com/datacable/image/7650-1.jpg
and I can`t connect my phone to the PC with Nokia PC Suite .Few people told me that it`s impossible :( .

So could you tell me what program should I use to connect my phone to the PC,with this cable ?

.:: Thanks ::.

The only use of 7650's datacable I know is to upgrade the firmware. Pc suite can only connect with the phone through IrDA or Bluetooth. And I don't think logomanager is compatible either...

Data cable for Nokia 7650
Model No. DSC53

This data cable is worked for Nokia 7650 GSM mobile phones. For flashing and repairing purpose.
Below is the general usages for this data cable:
- Sending & receiving fax Download/Modify the ringer tones for your Nokia 7650 mobile phones Modify the Startup & Operator logos.
- Send SMS messages easily using LogoManager in F-BUS or M2BUS connection Edit mobile phone numbers on your SIM card Edit & Send picture messages via your PC
- Make full use of service software that requires M2BUS connection
- View Security Code (Logo Manager)
- Enable/Disable NetMonitor (Logo Manager) with Service software.

The information you have there are misleading. They are the standard for every other nokia mobile phone but not for 7650. And by the way the net monitor can not be enabled on 7650.. The field test (as it is called) is an app installed. Not a disabled feature as it is on the other nokia phones...

I wouldnt be too hasty in your reply, as far as i can see, in the connection manager in the new updated copy of PC Suite, you can select Bluetooth, IrDa, or Serial Cable. I can't test this for obvious reasons (haven't got the cable) but i would give this a try, else try and find a copy of Logomanager (http://www.logomanager.co.uk)

Good Luck

Yea, I was a little bit hasty. But the misleading info are a little bit confusing (not to say fishy). If it was true that Logomanager can enable the Netmonitor with just the cable then I would be the first to buy it...

A try never harms. And if it doesn't work there may be a hacked version of PC suite which may make it work.

:)

I have already tried that with connection manager but it always made errors so I gave up  .
I talked to the guy I bought the cable and he told me that he used this cable to transfer pictures from the phone to the PC so I was a bit confused when MamphisX told me that the only use of 7650's datacable is to upgrade the firmware and I thought that maybe the guy lied to me.
He told me that i could use a PC Suite for 7650 but it made me always errors.

Which version of Logomanager should I look for?

Thanx ;)
